ADVOCACY

FOR OUR COMMUNITY

K

our advocacy committee

Committed to Advocating for the Cloverdale, Clayton and Campbell Heights business community.

The Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce advocates on behalf of our membership to ensure that the needs of Cloverdale, Clayton and Campbell Heights businesses are represented within all levels of government – municipal, provincial, and federal. As an ambassador for our membership we focus on the issues that are important to Cloverdale, Clayton and Campbell Heights.

We are currently working with the community and government officials on the following issues: public safety, transportation, the recently announced new hospital development, as well as other business and community initiatives.

National Representation

As members of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, we work on a national level to present and push ideas supporting our member businesses.

Coffee & Conversation

We provide opportunities for our membership to speak directly with all levels of government through our “Coffee & Conversations” series, an exclusive benefit for members only.

In Our Community

We listen to our community to hear what people are thinking, what they love, what they don’t, their concerns and ideas. You will see us at community event, festivals and markets engaging with our community.

Areas of Focus

Transportation

KEEP INFORMED ON THE FUTURE

Cloverdale and our surrounding districts are severely underserviced by the current transit offerings in our area. The provincial and municipal governments are working to create a plan to meet the needs of community. We listen, stay informed, and connect with key stakeholders to advocate for our members.

Community Involvement

supporting the cloverdale community

Our community involvement helps our members be involved along with us through collaborative volunteer and sponsorship opportunities.

In 2019, we were proud to support the following community activities, event, and initiatives:

  • Cloverdale Rodeo Youth Initiative Foundation
  • Cloverdale Market Days
  • Cloverdale Community Kitchen Hamper Program
  • Surrey Santa Parade of Lights
  • A Toy Drive for Cloverdale
  • Cloverdale Arts and Entertainment Association Ladies Night
  • Cloverdale BIA Bed Races
  • Scholarships for local high school students
