Surrey Hospice Society and Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce are thrilled to announce their joint initiative – the Charity Golf Tournament! Scheduled for Wednesday, September 13th, 2023, at the picturesque Northview Golf & Country Club in Surrey, BC, this event promises to bring the community together for a day of fun, camaraderie, and support. Golf enthusiasts, sponsors, and supporters from all walks of life are invited to join in on the occasion, as all proceeds from the tournament will go towards supporting the Surrey Hospice Society in their crucial end-of-life care and grief support services.

The Charity Golf Tournament offers an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all participants, regardless of their golfing expertise. The event will feature a shotgun start at 1:00 pm, following on-site registration from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Players will have the privilege of teeing off on the beautiful Arnold Palmer designed PGA course, the Canal Course, at Northview Golf & Country Club.

To make the day even more memorable, the tournament includes a delicious buffet lunch, one drink ticket, access to the driving range, and a golf cart (based on two sharing) for easy navigation around the course. The organizers have planned various exciting activities, including a silent auction, 50/50 draw, raffles, and other games, to add an element of friendly competition and fun throughout the day.

Beyond the game of golf, participants can look forward to an evening reception filled with awards, prizes, and the chance to network with fellow golfers and supporters. A beverage service will also be available from 5 pm to 11 pm, offering both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

The primary aim of the Charity Golf Tournament is to raise funds for the Surrey Hospice Society. As a non-profit organization, they offer compassionate care and support to individuals facing their end-of-life journey and provide free grief support to those who have lost loved ones in the community. Early bird registration offers discounted rates until May 30th, 2023, allowing participants to secure their spots in advance. Individuals can register for $300 (early bird: $285), while groups of four can take advantage of the foursome package for $1200 (early bird: $1140).

For those who do not wish to play golf but still want to be part of this meaningful event, the “All-Inclusive” package priced at $100 (early bird: $90) offers access to the reception, awards, and the delightful Champions Dinner.
